In this book, Pastor Morgan deals with some of the great moments in the life of Christ: His Birth, His Baptism, the Temptation, the Transfiguration, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection, the Ascension, the answer of Christ (which is Man Redeemed).

Austin-Sparks Life of the Spirit

Austin-Sparks was formerly a Baptist, and he got caught up in the Holiness Revival going on at the time. He was friends with Watchman Nee and Jesse Penn-Lewis. These three are big names and leaders in the Holiness movement. While I personally do not agree with everything going on in that movement, the movement itself produced an emphasis on being holy which few other groups outside of it made much attempt at all. There is a lot of gems within that movement and their writings.

Luginbill Pneumatology Holy Spirit

Dr. Luginbill wrote these notes on the Holy Spirit or on Pneumatology. This is basically a very good doctrine of the Holy Ghost.

Dabney, R.L. – Systematic Theology

Dabney was a Baptist, and this work is his Systematic Theology. Dabney was also Calvinistic.

In this 8 Chapter work, Torrey presents us with the Divine names, attributes, and offices that are applied to Jesus. Other chapters are the equivalence of Jesus and Jehovah, the linkage between Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Worship to be given to the Son, and incidental proofs.

Pope – Compendium of Christian Theology

William Burt Pope’s Compendium of Christian Theology is a work different from other theologies. He is definitely reformed in his view, but his presentation of the doctrines is not “standard” all the way around. For example, the names of the Redeemer, he doesn’t just give us a list of names, but a treatment of the idea in general.
